Summer's Winding Down...
I haven't done... well, anything this weekend except binge watch Classic Doctor Who and 80's Slasher movies (and finish the first season of Workin' Moms I guess), but this has been a rarity in a decently busy summer. Like last year, I'm REALLY happy with the amount of time I spent out and about actually doing stuff. My one real regret is I didn't spend as much time exercising as I would like, either due to mitigating circumstances or because I was sick (like I sort of am now?).
My summer doesn't technically end until ColossalCon East next week, so I'll do an actual summer rundown then.
Over the last few weeks I've read The Golden Compass and the first Witcher book, The Last Wish. I'm hopeful I'll have made at least a decent dent in both series by the time their respective shows come out later this year. I'm hopeful I'll get some Star Wars reading done as well, but I'm not sure how realistic that is since I went through a bit of a book burnout with it last year and there's gonna be a TON of content starting in a couple of months that'll probably keep me occupied.
I have one more free weekend of "summer" this coming weekend that I currently have no plans for and I'm wondering if I can throw something together last minute or even just find a way to lay around outside for a few hours (even if I'm still on a laptop). It's something I haven't taken advantage of as much as I would've liked to and I feel like I should while I still have some time left.
