So this is going up a couple of days later than I originally intended for a couple of reasons. The biggest reason is that I've spent most of Friday and Saturday sleeping, and whatever time I've been awake I've spent watching the Great British Bake Off (and Coco for the first time on Saturday!) The other is that, while I had drafts of two of these done, I ended up scrapping the last thing I was working on and hammering it out today in the span of about an hour, and then finally proofed all of them last night. So, yeah, using NaNo to finish old projects really worked for wrapping up the last of Fictober. In the end, I wrote 11 fics across 13 fills, and I'm rather proud of myself for both the sheer volume of that, and for stepping outside my comfort zone in a big way in terms of writing format and the types of stories I've written (even crossing into 'Dead Dove: Do Not Eat' territory a couple of times 0_o). So without further ado, here are my final three fills: Title: Feels Like Torture Fandom: Supernatural Challenge: Kinktober, Day 16: Frottage Rating: Mature Word Count: 1095 Characters/Pairings: Belphegor/Dean Winchester Notes/Warnings: The same warnings that come with the Belphegor character as he's depicted in canon apply here as well. Also contains spoilers for Season 15, Episode 1, and could be considered canon compliant if you squint. Summary: Belphegor starts making passes at Dean, which is the last thing he wants to deal with while trying to avert an apocalypse. Read @ AO3( Read more... )Title: Get Lucky, Part 2 Fandom: Hetalia: Axis Powers Challenge: spooktoberchallenge, Day 27: Lock Rating: Teen Word Count: 4122 Characters/Pairings: Korea/America, Korea/Taiwan, France, Hong Kong, Vietnam Notes/Warnings: Continuation of the previous fill here. Summary: Black cats bring bad luck, or so the superstition goes. But Yong Soo is pretty good at making his own bad luck. Read @ AO3( Read more... )Title: Lighting the Jack-o'-lantern Fandom: Supernatural Challenge: spooktoberchallenge, Day 3: Trick or Treating / Kinktober, Day 8: Hate-fucking/Angry Sex Rating: Explicit Word Count: 1644 Characters/Pairings: Belphegor/Dean Winchester, Castiel, Jack Kline (sort of) Notes/Warnings: Despite the title, there is no fire in this fic. It's there for the pun and nothing more. The same warnings that come with the Belphegor character as he's depicted in canon apply here as well. Also contains vague spoilers for Season 15, Episode 3. Additionally, this fic heavily references the fact that Belphegor is possessing Jack's body and contains several pseudo-incestuous allusions and as a result. Also, some violence. (This warning is probably too long for how mild this fic actually is.) Summary: On Halloween, Belphegor decides to have some fun with Dean while they're alone in the bunker. So I finally got a fill with an actual Halloween theme done! Though there's a chance I could get another one done and posted later tonight, but I really wanted to make this post before midnight. Title: The Coach and the Pretty Boy, Part 2 Fandom: A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge Challenge: Kinktober, Day 31: Mix/Match Your Own Prompts (I used... a lot) Rating: Explicit Word Count: 4492 Characters/Pairings: Coach Schneider/Jesse Walsh, Ron Grady/Jesse Walsh, Kerry Hellman, Freddy Krueger Notes/Warnings: Jesse is canonically eighteen, but this story depicts a graphic sexual relationship between a teacher and a high school student. Dead Dove: Do Not Eat. Summary: Jesse enters into a risky and intense sexual relationship with Coach Schneider. But as the arrangement starts to get more intense, Jesse is left questioning his own motivations for being a part of it. Read @ AO3( Read more... )Title: Locked Out Fandom: A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge Challenge: spooktoberchallenge, Day 27: Lock Rating: General Audiences (A single use of the word "Fuck") Word Count: 1508 Characters/Pairings: Ron Grady/Jesse Walsh, Lisa Webber Notes/Warnings: Fluff I wrote as part of a way to detox from the above fic. Summary: Lisa walks in on Jesse and Grady kissing at her Halloween Party. Read @ AO3( Read more... ) |

Getting down to the wire. Polished these off today and I'm hoping to get a couple of more drafts finished before I go to sleep tonight (especially since I sacrificed working out in order to write). I never expected to write Homestuck again, but the arrival of Homestuck^2 brought an old plot bunny back to the surface and I ended up hammering out this fill pretty quickly. The other fill might be the filthiest thing I've ever written in my life, and it ended up running so long that I've split it up across two different fills. So far, there's been a disturbing lack of explicit references to Halloween. The drafts for the latter fills I have done have rectified this, though I have to say a lot of this is a symptom of me having a hard time getting into the Holiday spirit this year. I suspect this weekend I'll be kicking myself for not making more of an effort. Title: A Loud and Sloppy Interspecies Makeout Fandom: Homestuck Challenge: spooktoberchallenge, Day 4: Tentacles Rating: Mature Word Count: 1295 Characters/Pairings: Dave Strider/Karkat Vantas Notes/Warnings: Takes Place during the meteor trip after the retcon in Act 6. Contains humorous speculations on troll anatomy. Summary: Karkat and Dave hook up for the first time during their meteor trip, but Dave won't stop talking the entire time. Read @ AO3( Read more... )Title: The Coach and the Pretty Boy, Part 1 Fandom: A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge Challenge: Kinktober, Day 27: Exhibitionism/Voyeurism Rating: Explicit Word Count: 4163 Characters/Pairings: Coach Schneider/Jesse Walsh, Ron Grady/Jesse Walsh Notes/Warnings: Jesse is canonically eighteen, but this story depicts a graphic sexual relationship between a teacher and a high school student. Dead Dove: Do Not Eat. Summary: Jesse enters into a risky and intense sexual relationship with Coach Schneider. But as the arrangement starts to get more intense, Jesse is left questioning his own motivations for being a part of it. Read @ AO3( Read more... ) |

I actually started this fic initially back in August but left it sitting half done for two months, and with the final trailer for the Rise of Skywalker being released today, I felt motivated to actually finish it! Unlike the usual, I actually got this one beta'd and up on AO3 before I threw the first draft up here. Title: A Rose's Thorns Fandom: Star Wars (Sequel Trilogy) Challenge: spooktoberchallenge, Day 14: Rebel Rating: Teen Word Count: 2195 Characters/Pairings: Rose Tico & Emperor Sheev Palpatine, Finn/Rose Tico, Rey, Kaydel Ko Konnix, Klaud, Snap Wexley Notes/Warnings: This story potentially contains spoilers for The Rise of Skywalker, and pulls directly from materials seen in the teaser trailer that was screened at Star Wars Celebration in May 2019. It also includes the character Klaud, who is portrayed here in a way that might not at all be accurate but just according to my unfounded speculation. I also wrote this before the October trailer's release, and I'm actually posting it right as its supposedly airing on Monday Night Football. So, if this has immediately aged badly, blame that. Summary: Rose wasn't sure how she ended up sitting across a luxurious dining room table from Emperor Sheev Palpatine, drinking wine and listening to opera. All she knew was he was very famously dead, and something was very, very wrong. Read @ AO3( Read more... ) |

I have mixed feelings about this fill, probably because it only took me a (relatively) short time to write compared to the previous two fills. I suspect a lot of it has to do with guilt for not yet writing anything for Spooktober that's specifically Autumn or Halloween-centric. As always, this is unbeta'd and hopefully halfway decent/readable. Title: The Man Beside Her Fandom: Classic Doctor Who Challenge: spooktoberchallenge, Day 3: Full Moon Rating: General Audiences Word Count: 747 Characters/Pairings: Jo Grant/Third Doctor, Jo Grant/Mike Yates, Jo Grant/Cliff Jones Notes/Warnings: Multiple instances of one-sided attraction. Spoilers for The Green Death, and foreshadowing (YMMV) for Invasion of the Dinosaurs. Summary: On the night of her engagement, Jo Grant takes a walk with a friend and reflects on her choices and relationships. ( Read more... ) |

So this post was delayed A LOT, mostly because these two fills specifically got away from me (and ended up being over 4x as long as I originally intended them to be. Whoops. I decided that this week through next I'll just been posting (multiple) late fills until I'm basically taught up for the tail end of the month. As with before, these are un-beta'd for now since I just want to get them up for now. I'm going to try to keep future fills to a more reasonable length so hopefully I won't run into this problem again. Title: Get Lucky Fandom: Hetalia Challenge: spooktoberchallenge, Day 2: Cat Rating: Teen Word Count: 2177 Characters/Pairings: Korea/Taiwan, Korea/America, Hong Kong Notes/Warnings: College AU, Human Names. (Taiwan is Xiao Mei and Hong Kong is Leon). This fill will also likely have a follow-up in a later fill. Summary: Black cats bring bad luck, or so the superstition goes. But Yong Soo is pretty good at making his own bad luck. ( Read more... )Title: Inside My Body Fandom: A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge Challenge: Kinktober, Day 2: Begging Rating: Explicit Word Count: 3237 Characters/Pairings: Ron Grady/Jesse Walsh, Freddy Krueger Notes/Warnings: Vague allusions to horror/gross-out imagery from the film. Internalized Homophobia. The first part of the story is a semi-direct adaption of the actual film scene, and includes word-for-word dialog. Summary: In which the subtext becomes text, and things go very differently when Jesse visits Grady after his failed hook-up with Lisa. ( Read more... ) |

Finished Day 1 of Fictober, though ultimately my third prompt got away from me a bit so I've put a pin in it. For practical purposes, these are unbeta'd, though when I throw them up on AO3 at some point in the future I'll try to clean them up a little. Honestly, I'm pretty please that I managed to get 2/3 things I set out to do today done with the little free time I have in the middle of the day. Here's hoping I can keep this energy up and stick with the (very moderate) challenge I've set for myself. I'm drawing from a handful of different fictober challenges so I'll note which day is in response to what challenge. Title: A Suitable Distraction Fandom: Classic Doctor Who Challenge: spooktoberchallenge, Day 1: Thunder Rating: General Audiences Word Count: 367 Characters/Pairings: Jamie McCrimmon, Zoe Heriot Notes/Warnings: More related to fear than any seasonal-specific spooky things, Canon compliant (as far as I can tell) Summary: Zoe is afraid of thunder and Jamie tries to comfort her. ( Read more... )Title: The Full Length Fandom: Roswell, New Mexico Challenge: Kinktober, Day 1: Deep-Throating Rating: Explicit Word Count: 672 Characters/Pairings: Alex Manes/Kyle Valenti Notes/Warnings: Slight Homophobic Undertones/Allusions to Past Homophobia, Face-fucking that could be read as dubcon Summary: PWP. Alex shows Kyle a special talent he has when they're alone in the bunker. ( Read more... ) |
